You need to control your fasting and post lunch values with proper long acting insulin dosage -Insulatard and short acting insulin human actrapid insulin. You seem to be under weight for your height due to uncontrolled diabetes. Patients do benefit by taking Inj Insulatard twice in a day. Healthy high cal/ Low fat/high protein diet without sugar and jeggary in day to day cooking may help in sugar control along with regular exercises.
Hba1c below 7 should be the aim. If you wish you can consu...more

They are slightly different in composition. So there will be difference in onset and peak action. However, you can try it and see whether the blood sugar control is acceptable. Your fasting and pp levels are high it should be below 130 and 180 respectively. Also get an hba1c done to have a better understanding of your blood sugar control.

Hello, Thanks for the query.
TSH 7.7 mU/L is considered as subclinical hypothyroidism, which usually not treated. More so in children. Only when TSH level crosses 10 mU/L then treatment is considered. Many a times in later years TSH returns to normal. Thanks.

Mr. Lybrate-user, t1 diabetes has to be treated by insulin injections only. There is no other alternative, insulin injections have to be taken for diabetes control as well as for survival.
Along with that you have to take a restricted diet, so that it provides just exact calories, exercise daily for one hour for better glucose utilisation and reducing insulin resistance. T1 diabetes occurs due to destruction of beta cells of islets of langerhans (insulin secreting cells). This is an autoimmu...more

There was no difference in incidence of hypoglycaemia. Conclusions: switching from human insulin mix 30: 70 to analog insulin mix 50: 50 results in better post main meal control.

Please consult your doctor who knows about your medical history thoroughly and knows about the trend. It takes patience to wait for the effects to take shape. Frequent changes in medications in order to perfectly control the blood sugar (there is nothing like perfect control!) can only lead to chaos. Discuss about it with the doctor and remain steadfast with your healthy lifestyle routine. Gain more knowledge (from the internet) about Diabetes management and healthy lifestyle changes so that you...more

Dear, Diabetes is often called the silent killer. Diabetes, is a metabolic disease in which sugar does not get metabolized properly in the body. This means that the blood sugar levels continue to be high, threatening the normal functioning of the body. According to Ayurveda There are 20 forms of Diabetes : 4 are due to Vata, 6 result from Pitta, and 10 are caused by Kapha. But Diabetes (MADHUMEHA) is.Mainly kapha dosha disease. Poorly managed diabetes can lead to a host of long-term complication...more

My son, 5 years completes by dec 16, vegetarian, no egg also. He was given VIDANGASAV in high doses (20 ml each time) several times to cure intestinal worms. This medicine caused intestinal ulcers to him and started vigorous coughing with intestinal pain and asthma. Doctor prescribed 1) cyclopam 3 days 2) zanocin 5 days 3) lanzol junior 15 on empty stomach for 10 days. As my son was complaining of anal itching, doctor also advised us to give single dose Albendazole 10 mg syrup 2 times in a span of one week. We completed all these above medicines, BUT, his 1) severe anal itching continues during daytimes and afternoons and nights also (especially just after completing his latrine/ stool excretion), 2) he is still complaining about stomach ache now and then, 3) he is complaining about head ache rarely 4) coughs often (no phlem in the lungs), phlem do not come into his mouth. OUR QUESTION IS 1) what is this anal itching he is suffering from. He says some kind of thing walking and pinching and pinning from inside rectum. May be piles? 2) do you advise us to continue lanzol junior 15 for few more weeks until his intestinal ulcer and associated cough and stomach ache gets cured? ->We use RO water (acid water) at home for the past 2 years, without Alkaline/ minerals cartridge. This also might have helped develop intestinal ulcer in his stomach. Now we changed this water and giving water mixed with minerals and high PH and TDS of around 300 ppm. -> He regularly goes to latrine 2 or 3 times. Please advise. Thank you very much.

To know whether it is worms or not take stool routine and microscopic test.
My advise is to take homoeopathic treatment.
Reasons (1) No Side effects
(2) Gives permanent solution.
(3) It cost a lot less than allopathic treatment.
