Hello lybrate-user, your friend must have had a minor ligament injury. A bandge may not be needed, use ice pack and local pain gel application for pain relief. He has to be investigated for ligament injury if his symptoms persist.

Fracture takes longer time to heal. You may have some discomfort for 3 months. Some stiffness is also expected after immobilization for 1 month. All you need is some ankle mobilization exercises. You can also dip your foot in lukewarm water for few minutes every 4-6 hrs which will help in relieving pain and improving ankle movements.

Hi
have you started rehabilitation.
If your hand has full pain free range and done strengthening exercise then only you should start gym. Otherwise just do cycling and walking, avoid lifting heavy weights.
