Pcos is characterized by insulin resistance in the body leading to the anovulation and amenorrhea or absence of periods. It also leads to weight gain that aggravates the insulin resistance leading to a vicious cycle. The above two drugs apart from weight loss, decrease insulin resistance and help control symptoms.

I have been diagnosed with thyroid and pcos in march this year when I was in india. I was using ovabless myo but now here it is not available, can I take myo inositol? Plus for thyroid I was taking thyronorm but it is also not available here, can I have euthyrox? After I was diagnosed with both of them. I have been doing exercise and yoga strictly everyday for 1. 5 hours. Also I stopped eating fried food, chips, and everything. I lost 6 kg in first month. Never have other issues like dry skin, facial hair, stress or obesity. Body is feeling light and healthy but just the location created the problem. Kindly help me in this! thank you so much!

You could take myo inositol as far as you have the same concentration of that found in ovabless. Euthyrox is ok but try to stick with same brand as it may affect the bioavailability (proportion of drug absorbed from your gut).

Rebesterone 5 will help you to get a period. Ovabless MYO will help you to ovulate.
But these will not help with PCOD. You will need to take a medicine called metformin (Glycomet) for the PCOD.

Hi
Your serum insulin level is normal. Do not worry about it. Metformin also helps in ovulation and inturn helps in conception. Follow a healthy diet, exercise for atleast 5 days a week and take a multivitamin which has inositol which helps in conception and treatment of PCOD if you have it.

I have pcod and usually get my periods 3-4 months later, should I have ovabless myo tablets? How can I se that? Or is there any other tablet which does not have any side effect and will work for me extreme level pcod.

The cause of extreme level of pcs need to be found out and it has to be approach in a systematic way by lifestyle modification for sleep pattern and also so the use of these minor list all kind of drugs.

Ir is immediate release and sr is sustained release formulations. Both work well but usually sr formulations have lesser gastrointestinal side effects.

Yes, glycomet is on of the brands of the salt metformin that is used to manage diabetes. Other brands are- glyciphage, cetapin, exermet.

Hello, thanks for the query.
Both the products are same. The er refers to extended release, which means the drug is released slowly over 12 hours in the gut. That helps maintain a longer therapeutic level. It is beneficial more so if a person has any side effects like gastrointestinal disturbances if plain metformin is taken. Both are fine. Thanks.

It comes in 500 mg and 1000 mg can be taken after food because of its adverse effect to cause gastritis.
