Hello Lybrate-user, Since your scalp is clean most likely cause for your itching is minoxidil induced. Stop using mintop for few weeks. Use shampoo mildy ahf daily and if itching still continues visit a dermatologist. Hair fall treatment is possible only after itching subsides.

Mx lotion is meant for growing hair on the scalp where roots are present.
Along with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need immediate medical attention. So its always better to consult a dermatologist for right guidance instead of doing self medication.

Please do not self treat. You may be suffering from androgenic alopecia which is also called as pattern baldness. The hairs start reducing in density at the crown (top) and also the hairline starts refeeding from the front. This is usually progressive throughout life unless treated. This may also be accompanied by severe dandruff. The FDA approved treatment for this condition is a lotion and tablets. There is no other alternative. No oil or cream will magically work because the hairs are getting...more

Hello lybrate-user.
Actually I have not seen any patient having such good effects of minoxidil.
Very few patients report initial benefits followed by the same problem.
So better use it with proper homoeopathic treatment if you want lasting results.
You can consult me at Lybrate.

Using different brands doesn't make difference to the action of minoxidil. But please go through if the products have any other add on components, before you use, if you are allergy prone. Check if any of the components are known allergens to you or go for small dose patch testing on your skin before use.
Let's connect over a call so that we can discuss your concern in details and make a suitable treatment plan for you.
