Most of the time, itchy eyes are caused by some type of allergy. An irritating substance such as pollen, dust and animal dander, causes the release of compounds called histamines in the tissues around the eyes, which results in itching, redness and swelling. Rubbing won't help your itchy eyes. Let's have a detailed discussion to ensure proper treatment.

It is good to wash eyes with ice-cold water from the refrigerator. And you can feel relaxed & refreshed. The cold water stimulates the nerve endings of eyes and face which stimulate the hormones of happiness.

Firstly I would suggest following the 20-20-20 rule
"take a break every 20 min - look at an object 20 feet away - for 20 sec"
if you wear spectacles, use the ones with blue light filter.
Finally, use eyedrops with carboxymethyl cellulose 0.5% with soc (preservative free ). One drop in both eyes 4-6 times a day.
I suggest you undergo dry eye evaluation if symptoms persist.
(you can opt for a private consultation for a prescription).
