They need regular vaccination
They need annual USG abdomen to look for gall stones
Based on sickling events they have to take blood thinners
All infections need to be treated earliest

Hi. First of all, essential thrombocythemia diagnosis requires bone marrow aspiration and biopsy test to confirm. If bone marrow study also confirms it as essential thrombocythenia, then hydroxyurea and aspirin, for life long is the treatnent of choice.
