Mr. Lybrate-user, excess use of cough syrups containing codeine for long time is not good. Codeine can lead to addiction, both physical and mental. Plus causes constipation. According to the company's own list of side-effects list it can cause cns depression, lassitude, drowsiness, loss of appetite, dizziness, blurring of vision, tightness in chest, hypertension etc. So such preparations should be used sparingly only for a very short duration. Thanks.

If one tries to lead a very healthy lifestyle and be sincere in daily routine then the medicines required will be least. Insulin helps control blood glucose levels by signaling the liver and muscle and fat cells to take in glucose from the blood. insulin therefore helps cells to take in glucose to be used for energy. If the body has sufficient energy, insulin signals the liver to take up glucose and store it as glycogen.

Hi, basically novo mix is a newer insulin analogue with a mix of 30% short acting and 70% long acting insulin. On the other hand human mixyard is a conventional insulin. The difference is in their properties and effectivity.
