Since her sugar levels are still in higher range. To shift to oral diabetic drugs is difficult. It would be better to continue insulin. But if you insist on shifting to tablet kindly consult online.

You need to check blood sugars 7 times a day like bb/ab, bl/al, bd/ad and midnight 1 am, accordingly insulin actrapid three times with bed time lantus with regular meditations. Be strict on timely food intake with regular physical activity may help to achieve good blood sugar levels. All the best.

Hello, thanks for the query.
I have seen the details given, from those it is clear that current treatment is not adequate. There is a need to upgrade. Apart from drugs, it is necessary to look at dietary pattern, extent of daily exercise, weight, height, lipid profile, bp readings, serum creatinine, urea and microalbuminuria.
In a well controlled diabetic patient fasting should be < 100 mg or closer to 100 mg, pp 150 to 170 mg & hba1c% < 7%. Thanks.

No I am afraid not drinking is not good for diabetic patients and you must avoid it as much as you can rather I would say just let it go off if you ever want to be off insulin on to oral medications.

Hello, thanks for the query.
I have seen the details given. You have mentioned since when you have been having diabetes and what are the medications being taken (without giving dosage details of oral drugs). But there is no information on glucose levels & hba1c%, so it is difficult to comment whether you should take any additional (even if it is ayurvedic drug). Secondly if your glucose levels are well controlled then I don't see any reason for addition. Thanks.
