Probably you are taking 80 units of insulin/day. Yes I can start you on cheaper insulin and it may control your sugars better with proper diet and excersize. However I may need your past history and treatment records.

Normally insulin is prescribed to a patient under strict supervision of the treating physician to is has to be regulated insulin inj given when the diabetes is not controlled by diet, exercise and oral medication so you should consult a medical specialist or dibetologist for dter! iningvthe the doses of insulin. Do not self medicate.

Hello, please continue with insulin as doctor prescribed. If there is a possibility, doctor should have suggested the medicine instead. Its good to control your diabetes. But along with medication, you need to concentrate on food also. Make sure you food must have high protein, fiber and omega-3 nutrition. That is not a rule. It all depends upon each individual case and how the body responds to the treament. The intension is to bring the sugar levels under control with least medications. Insulin storage-All insulin needs to be kept at temperatures lower than 25°C, ideally between 2 and 6°C . Normal room temperatures are below 25°C but they can be warmer in the summer. Therefore any insulin you are not currently using should be stored in the fridge – throughout the year. Don’t put it in – or too close to – the freezer compartment, as the insulin may be damaged. Any insulin that has been out of the fridge for 28 days or more should be discarded.
