Hi you r a diabetic. Your injection site is not healthy. You need to follow a proper rotation technique for injection. Not at the same site always. The area you are referring need to be left for few days without injection. It will improve on its own. Take care.

Please talk to your doctor as it is very important to keep monitoring the sugar levels lifelong and take the appropriate medicines as suggested by the doctor. One should not stop the insulin. May be he can improve in the long run if he follows a very healthy lifestyle. Proper diet and daily exercise ( let him learn Yoga also ) can help the body to adapt more efficiently ( and thereby may help in keeping the insulin requirements to the minimum ).

In t2 dm there is insulin resistance but there are no antibodies against it. Insulin resistance can be reduced by maintaining near normal body weight and a bmi of 23kg/m2. Exercising for more than 1 h a day is a good method of improving insulin resistance. Drugs like metformin and pioglitazone also help in reducing the resistance.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
Insulin dose decided on the basis of blood glucose level both fasting and after food. Plus there are different types of insulins, it is not which one you are using. There are rapid acting and long acting insulins plus combination of both.
It is given in units per dose, not as ml. Taking excess insulin is not advised. It causes hypoglycemia. Thanks.
