H-pylori kit tablet when to be taken before food or after food, our doctor suggested omeprazole before food, amoxicillin is next & first after food & tinidazole is after amoxicillin. Pl Suggest if it is wrong.

I am taking HP (h pylori) kit for ulcer I gives relif for ulcer but it also give side effect in which I have to go toilet 4-5 times daily I already ask on that amoxicillin is cause of diarrhea and loos motion. If I take only (omeprazole, tinidazole) 2 tablets then can it give relief or I have to take amoxicillin.

Dear friend You can replace amoxicillin with clarithromycin if you are too in comfortable with amoxicillin.

I am taking HP (h pylori) kit for ulcer I gives relif for ulcer but it also give side effect in which I have to go toilet 4 times daily then may I reduce the dose or any replacement for HP kit. Try Cap Lactobacillus or econorm .....one cap twice daily for ten days and give me the feedback. If it is not available in capsule form, take the sachets. Dose will be one sachet twice daily.

Amoxycillin is given as TDS dose while co- amoxyclav is given as BD dose mostly. Why?

Clavulanic acid is not effective if given alone hence we give it in combination with amoxicillin and hence the dose reduces because two drugs are acting at the same time.

Sir, I had mild erosive gastritis and duodenal ulcer for which I had to suffer a lot due to severe stomach pain twice. I had been prescribed with pantoprazole and mucaine gel for three months. After three months of medication. When I stopped medication as prescribed by doctor. The previously suffered symptom which was severe stomach pain and vomiting did not show again. But,i felt bloating in my stomach and sometimes heartburn also felt. So again, I visited the doctor, who again prescribed me with hp kit (comprised of amoxicillin, omeprazole and tinidazole) with rabeprazole and mucaine gel for another 15 days. This medicines also completed. So, now my query is that, if I will stop medication, is it ok for me. Kindly write in this regard.

don't stop the medication
the antibiotic course should be completed otherwise it will result in resistance.

It should not cause problem so early but not a good idea to use it non-stop especially if your symptoms are not resolving. Consult a medical gastroenterologist and undergo upper gastrointestinal endoscopy to see if there is an ulcer.

Amoxycillin can cause mouth ulceration in some patients. In addition to becasule capsules you can apply any anesthetic gel 3 to 4 times a day to get immediate relief from ulcer pain.

Stomach some diarrhea type problem for many years when I take medicines like tinidazole then some relief but after that problem again occurs in few days.
