Hi
no. It’s not dangerous to stop clonazepam suddenly. But if you prefer you can reduce the dose to half for three to four days and then stop it. Olanzapine is a good medication. There are no side effects that can’t be dealt with later. While medications may dull her a little they won’t make...more

There are multiple issues like ocd, depression and obesity. All these are interrelated. I would like you to add 'walking _ brisk walking'to your treatment regimen. In 2-3 months you will see a much better. Version of yourself. Regarding medications, I would like to modify few things like add on a beta blocker and ssri with better side effect profile. I think we make some small changes in your medications after knowing detailed history. Better to follow up with your psychiatrist and share your co...more

Dear Lybrate user,
yes, alcohol use will increase triglyceride level. Try to reduce or stop taking alcohol. Stopping alcohol will help you to reduce triglyceride level. If you are too anxious inspite of taking clonazepam, then you may need modification in your anxiolytic medicines and counseling. Consult a psychiatrist in person or through tele consultation for a better guidace.

Dear Brinda,
It is a good decision to taper off clonazepam. If you have started taking it for relief from anxiety, please practice few relaxation techniques. In that way, you can keep your anxiety to an optimum level to function properly.

Dear Amit,
Clonazepam is prescribed only if necessary. Try to avoid the combination. But if the anxiety is affecting the quality of life, please take both. There is no interaction between the two.

Lybrate-user,
Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine and is prescribed for anxiety but usually dependence occurs if taken for more than 4 weeks. You could experience headache, sleeplessness, anxiety and mood changes commonly and sometimes antidepressants are prescribed to help these difficulties.
