Diabetic since how long. Recent hb1ac level fbs/ppbs. Ziglim m2 tablet pr. Has two drug glimepiride and metformin.
Tab ziglim m2 sr has glimepiride and metformin and pioglitazone.
If hb1ac > 9% with glimepiride .shifting to insulin is best.
Serum creatinine level require to be checked.

Triglimisave 2 and metformon can not be vompared and sjould not be used as substitute to each other.
Trihlimisave contains 3 medicines and metformin is one of them.

Hello, Thanks for the query.
I have seen the details mentioned. However, either with Glycomet Trio or with Glitaray M edema is unlikely side effect. Only when Pioglitazone is taken there is a possibility of swelling of lower limbs possible. So I am a bit surprised o know that such a side effect is seen in you. Please check your BP and kidney function, because the cause for swelling could be different. There is no mention of how blood glucose is controlled. That is equally important. Thank...more

Usually no oral anti-diabetic medication is used in treating T1 DM. However, Pioglitazone has been used occasionally and there seems to be some advantage in using it. It may help in stabilising the glucose levels better, without altering the weight or insulin requirement.
