Hi, My mum is 50 years old and she is suffering from bells palsy. The symptoms of her sickness are sever stiff neck, eye pain, headaches and difficulties in opening her mouth and talk. She already had consulted with the doctor's and they prescribed her with tablets named Neurolep, Prednisone and Aciclovir and an injection and told her to have her neck massage which she is having now. I just want to know that how many days will it take for her to get cured and will she be fully cured or there will be a chance to get this sickness again after this treatment.

Hello Doctor. I recently got herpes on my stomach. So doctor advised me to take some tablets like aciclovir ,zovirax .etc. And even he gave injection . In 7 days bubbles on my stomach got dis appeared and I'm alright Now. What may be the cause for me to get herpes ? I want to know how herpes is caused . And recently I tried to have sex with my cousin .but I did not penetrate my penis in her vagina .only I touched her outer part of vagina from my penis. And I kissed her a lot. And I performed oral sex on her . I inserted my penis in her mouth .and cummed in her mouth .is that the reason for me to get herpes ? Or is there any other reason .please help doctor .

Since you have herpes infection on your stomach, it could not be because of oral sex/kissing etc. It is a virus infection and could be because of some thing else.

30 year old female. She was diagnosed with hsv2 3 years ago. During this time she had about 5 outbreaks which was very mild. After drinking two anti-viral, her outbreak would end. About two months ago, she changed her birth control from yasmin to diane and after 2 weeks started getting the worst outbreaks she ever experienced and they would carry on for weeks. Aciclovir also didn’t help much. Just made it more bearable. She went off diane and it got a little better but now two weeks later she has another outbreak that is lasting more than 7 days? What could be the issue? Hiv negative. Hepatitis negative. Could it be the birth control?

Hello, I am a 19 year old girl, i’ve been lately worrying that I might have the hpv virus, I haven’t been able to see a gynecologist and I don’t really know what am I supposed to do especially that I have no symptoms of an infection (no vaginal warts or any changements whatsoever). It’s been almost a month and a half since i’ve stop having sexual relationships with this guy, it lasted about three weeks and we had approximately 5 to 6 intercourses, he had indeed told me about his hpv, he had visible warts and was under treatment (nitrogen treatment (cryotherapy) and an antibiotic treatment), we only had intercourse once his warts were supposedly “destroyed ” by the nitrogen and it was unfortunately unprotected, he had also brought me the same antibiotic he was taking (aciclovir) that I started taking but didn’t finish. I looked up the infection before sleeping with him and knew its severity, but still blatantly chose to do it anyways, now i’m worrying a lot, especially after I read that the most severe forms of this virus are usually asymptotic and finally develop into cancer, and there’s this other voice my head that tells me since I had no warts then I might not have contracted the virus. Please help me figure out what should I do next, thank you so much!

My partner (female) was diagnosed with genital herpes (she got an active outbreak) infection. She was given trikase aciclovir cream with which the sores cleared up in 4 days. We both then took the herpes simplex virus (hsv ii) antibody blood test, about 2 weeks after her outbreak subsided. Her results: hsv antibodies igg (ii: 0.79 index hsv antibodies igm (ii): 1.43 index my (male) results: hsv antibodies igg (ii): 27.72 index for your information: we were not aware of such medical condition in us before going through this test. I never had any herpes symptom (i.e. No herpes sores on outside of lips, no visible sore on my penis) before in my life. My concerns: 1. Does this mean both of us have herpes, as any value above 1.1 is positive? 2. Is my value of 27.72 too high? What does it mean? Does it pose any extra risk? 3. Are there any other stis we would be prone to which we should get tested?(fyi, I don't have multiple partners, neither she has.)

I'm 28 unmarried. I'hve intercourse with a guy after my period done that is on 6th day without any safety next day morning (21stay) I took ipill too. Then after I got 3 days white discharge painful and next 3 days I got blood flow I was very highly infected. Next day I consulted games and said everything I got blisters in the genital area and read spots beside the vaginal area. It was like very painful when sitting or urinating also. She gave me aciclovir tablet and cream (herpex5) and bacterial tablet. My blisters got cleared within 3 days and also infection also totally cleared then after 2 days I got slighter itching throughout the uterus area including vaginal area I went to doc again and she checked again she said nothing to worry it's just a fungal infection and she just gave zocon c ointment but still my itching didn't went. I'm much worried and tensed. I don't have any diabetes or thyroid or any diseases. After mtng hm only I got infection in my genital area also before I dint got any prob in my 28 years of my life. This means did I got any herpes infection and when my itchiness go. Pls gve me best advise doctor. Or should I use any other cream for itchiness.

Most probably this can be the commonest fungal infection but kindly rule out the same by help of an examination and a ph test.

Fever with rose petals rash all over the body is a typical symptom of chicken pox and I will suggest you to take symptomatic treatment along with aciclovir and don't scrub any lesions.
