It is not as easy task to control blood sugar in the desired normal range. Whatever we eat is metabolized to sugar in the body to provide energy for our daily activities. I am happy to know that your sugar levels are in control. However, please check hba1c% it should be around 6.5%, which means the control is good. It is important that you also maintain your weight near normal, right now your bmi is 29.77kg/m2 which shows obesity. Obesity also affects diabetes and fertility. Please take care to cut your weight as it is high as your ideal body weight should be 57 kgs. You need to exercise for more than 1 h a day and follow restricted diet avoiding deep fried foods...more

Hello, Thanks for the query.
If fasting blood glucose is 300 mg, then it is really very badly controlled diabetes. That can lead to a number of serious long term complications related to various vital organs and systems. It is clear that her present treatment is not at all helping her. There has to be an up gradation of therapy with some additional drugs. For suggesting the same I need to know the following: current fasting, PP blood glucose levels, HbA1c%, dietary pattern and extent of dail...more

As long as your sugar is under control, you can afford one small drink. Always include 30 minutes of exercise in your schedule and eat out of need, not out of greed.
