Hello, Thanks for the query.
Usually if there is allergy to sulfonylurea, it will be there for all the compounds of that class. So if some one is allergic to glimiperide, then may also be allergic to glibenclamide. Therefore, it is better to avoid this group of drugs all together There are many other options to control blood glucose. The treating diabetologist will be better person to advise. Thanks.

diabetes diet plays a very important role. You need to be very particular about food choices & timings to control blood glucose levels. Even medicines will not work properly unless you are particularly about food choices. I would suggest you to properly follow the do's and don't of diabetes so to control the blood glucose levels.

Secondly, if one has confirmed diabetes then treatment has to be taken every day. Since one eats every day then drugs also are required to control the glucose rise every day.
Another important aspects is that with a bmi (body mass index) of 39....more

This is correct tab and dose. Diabetes, often referred to by doctors as diabetes mellitus, describes a group of metabolic diseases in which the person has high blood glucose (blood sugar), either because insulin production is inadequate, or because the body's cells do not respond properly to insulin, or both.
