Thanks for the query.
When diabetes goes on for very long time (many years), most often the insulin producing beta cell activity goes down. So in many patients oral drugs may not be effective. Plus we will also have to look at diet and extent of daily exercise and weight reduction. So if you want me to ...more

Your excessive weight is the reason of most of your problems.
Instead of increasing your no.of medicines try to reduce weight and if can do it your medicines will be reduced and some may even be stopped.

Along with medicines follow diabetes diet which simply means eating the healthiest foods in moderate amounts and sticking to regular mealtimes. A diabetes diet is a healthy-eating plan that's naturally rich in nutrients and low in fat and calories. Key elements are fruits, vegetables and whole grains.

Hello, thanks for the query.
From the details given you are on tablet glycomet trio 2 and tablet remogliflozin 100 mg. Post dinner glucose goes up 190 - 200 mg is fine. That can be effectively controlled by reducing the intake of carbohydrates like chapati or rice and other crbs in the diet. There is no reason to add any further drugs. Invariably we tend to eat more than what we need. So slight reduction in carbs, substituted by green leafy vegetables and items like curds or fruits will help...more

Pancreas is the site to produce insulin in body. So if the pancreas is diseased the only option left is to give insulin from outside body by an injection. In my opinion glimeperide will not help you.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Tab Gluconorm SR 500 is containing only Metformin, where as The other tablet has Glimepiride 1 mg plus metformin. So the action can be much stronger. That may lead to lower glucose levels. Plus changing medicine with doctor's advise, is not good. Thanks.
