The very fact that you have been advised to take Insulin injections for controlling blood glucose, suggests that only oral drugs seem to be not working effectively. This happens in persons whose blood glucose is exceptionally high to begin with. In some cases it is possible to do away with Insulin after some 3 to 4 months, once a strict control is achieved. When diabetes is well controlled with adequate medication fasting glucose is < 100 mg, PP 150 to 170 mg & HbA1c% < 6.8. Your fasting glucose is high. There is no mention of other two parameters. So it is difficult to comment. Along with drugs diet and exercise are also very important is controlling diabetes. Thanks.

Dear Lybrate user pls use the medication as your fbs is high. It will soon be tappered based on your response. Please watch for low sugars and meet your Dr. if you have symptoms of low sugar.

I have seen the details mentioned. However, either with Glycomet Trio or with Glitaray M edema is unlikely side effect. Only when Pioglitazone is taken there is a possibility of swelling of lower limbs possible. So I am a bit surprised o know that such a side effect is seen in you.
