Hi sir, Thanks for your query.
Your question is wrong.
You are suffering from Type 2 Diabetes.
Medicine can be suggested only after we know the blood sugar levels, HbA1c & some other tests.
Thanks.

lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
The very fact that you have been advised to take Insulin injections for controlling blood glucose, suggests that only oral drugs seem to be not working effectively. This happens in persons whose blood glucose is exceptionally high to begin with. In some cases it is possible to do away with Insulin after some 3 to 4 months, once a strict control is achieved. Since there is no mention about your current glucose levels and HbA1c%, it is difficult to comment. ...more

Thank you for the query.
From your question I gather that you are already on glycomet trio (2 mg/500 mg/0.3 mg) thrice a day. This implies that you are on quite a high dose of oral anti diabetic agents. However, your sugar levels tend to remain high. I would like to enquire about your hbaic as that will give a better picture about your control. At this stage I would advice you to modify your diet (1400-1500 kcal) per day and opt for a exercise regimen (30 min per day for 5 days a week). Plea...more

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
When diabetes is well controlled with adequate medication fasting glucose is < 100 mg, PP 150 to 170 mg & HbA1c% < 6.8. Your fasting glucose is high. There is no mention of other two parameters. So it is difficult to comment. Along with drugs diet and exercise are also very important is controlling diabetes. Thanks.

Hello, Thanks for the query.
I have seen the details mentioned. However, either with Glycomet Trio or with Glitaray M edema is unlikely side effect. Only when Pioglitazone is taken there is a possibility of swelling of lower limbs possible. So I am a bit surprised o know that such a side effect is seen in you. Please check your BP and kidney function, because the cause for swelling could be different. There is no mention of how blood glucose is controlled. That is equally important. Thank...more
