Thank you for the query.
From your question I gather that you are already on glycomet trio (2 mg/500 mg/0.3 mg) thrice a day. This implies that you are on quite a high dose of oral anti diabetic agents. However, your sugar levels tend to remain high. I would like to enquire about your hbaic as that will give a better picture about your control. At this stage I would advice you to modify your diet (1400-1500 kcal) per day and opt for a exercise regimen (30 min per day for 5 days a week). Plea...more

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
When diabetes is well controlled with adequate medication fasting glucose is < 100 mg, PP 150 to 170 mg & HbA1c% < 6.8. Your fasting glucose is high. There is no mention of other two parameters. So it is difficult to comment. Along with drugs diet and exercise are also very important is controlling diabetes. Thanks.

Hello, Thanks for the query.
I have seen the details mentioned. However, either with Glycomet Trio or with Glitaray M edema is unlikely side effect. Only when Pioglitazone is taken there is a possibility of swelling of lower limbs possible. So I am a bit surprised o know that such a side effect is seen in you. Please check your BP and kidney function, because the cause for swelling could be different. There is no mention of how blood glucose is controlled. That is equally important. Thank...more

Hi sir, Thanks for your query.
Your question is wrong.
You are suffering from Type 2 Diabetes.
Medicine can be suggested only after we know the blood sugar levels, HbA1c & some other tests.
Thanks.

I have seen the details given. From that it is clear that she is on multiple medications. However, there is no mention of herHbA1c%, weight, extent of physical activity, particularly exercises like brisk walking or any other activity plus dietary pattern . It is very essential to concentrate on following aspects - 1) weight control (BMI <23 kgs/Sq meter), 2) Taking a healthy balanced diet like - increased intake of green leafy vegetables, salads and certai...more

Tablet cilacar contains cilnidipine which is a calcium channel blocker, helps reduce bp. Dilnip trio contains three medications which are combined together - cilnidipine, telmisartan and chlorthalidone. If your bp is 130/80 with dilnip trio then it means your body has adjusted to the medications. Your doctor would have started dilnip trio after much consideration, so it's advisable not to downgrade from dilnip trio to cilacar. Incase you want to change your medications, it would be advisable to ...more
