With metformin there may be some side effects like the ones described. However, if taken after food, the drug is better tolerated. Since there is no mention of glucose levels & HbA1c%, there is no idea how good the glucose control is.

It is essential to know fasting & pp levels as well as hba1c% before any comment can be made or any suggestion is given. As regards dapagliflozin and vildagliptin+ metformin combination usage, both these (dapagliflozin & vildagliptin) are totally different drugs. One can not be substituted for the other.
