You should keep checking your blood glucose fasting and 2 hrs post food regularly. You may have developed some mild GI side effecr with your previous medicine which are gone with the new that tou have started. But hypoglycemia is a risk which can be prevented with regular monitoring. For chronic pancreatitis patient with diabetes this combination is okay. But insulin will be better in acute pancreatitis or with increased abdominal pain any time. Keep monitoring.

Hello, Thanks for the query.
Glyciphage 1 g and 500 mg both are containing only metformin. I don't understand why two tablets of the drug are used. There is no mention of her fasting and PP glucose levels as well as HbA1c%. Please come back with all these details. Thanks.

In pt of pcod there is increased insulin resistance ,metformin being a insulin sensitizer drug decreases the insulin resistance, it also helps in reducing wt and in ovulation. Total dose is 1500 mg taken in 2 or 3 divided doses.
Lifestyle changes for wt reduction should also be adopted.
