Yes 230 ppbs is high.
Get your hba1c done. You can either add metformin or gliptins to take care of you post prandial high sugars. Erectile dysfunction can be due to several causes like nervous, psychological, atherosclerotic related which needs to evaluated via counselling, doppler and medication. First get your sugar under control.

Mr. lybrate-user, hello, thanks ror the query.
The fasting glucose mentioned is quite high. Ideally fbg should be < 100 mg to closer to it. Pp should be 150 to 170 mg & hba1c% < 7% at your age. Therefore, it is clear that your diabetes is not in proper control. So there is a need to look at overall treatment which includes dietary pattern, extent of daily exercise, lipid profile and drug therapy. So I need to know your hba1c%, lipid profile, and above mentioned information. So if you come ba...more

Dear lybrate-user,
your blood sugars are under very good control now. If you do not have low sugar symptoms like sweating dizziness tremor etc before meals continue the same dose. If you start developing low sugar symptoms then you need to reduce the medication under supervision by your physician

Mr Robin, Thanks for the query.
Your fasting glucose is fairly high, the reason could be the night time intake. Based on the given information it is difficult to give any clear suggestion or opinion. Please come back with following details : weight, height, dietary pattern, extent of daily exercise & HbA1c%. After going through those details I will be able to comment. Thanks.

Hello, thanks for the query.
I have seen the details mentioned. You are already on multiple drugs, if still blood glucose levels are not adequately controlled then there is a need to look at the over all treatment including drugs, diet and extent of exercise per day. Plus there may be a need for either upgrading or changing the therapy in terms of adding or changing some drug/s. To that following information is required: fasting, pp glucose, hba1c%, present dietary pattern, daily extent of e...more

Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query.
I have seen the details given. Since there is no information on fasting, pp glucose, hba1c%, lipid profile, dietary pattern & extent of daily exercise, there is no way to give any suggestion. Secondly your bmi (body mass index) is 28.65 kgs/sq meter (normal < 23 kgs/sq meter) which means you have an excess of over 15 kgs. This is a major hindrance in better glucose control. Plus I do not understand the reason for changing the medication. Please come ba...more
