Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for your query.

Glimepiride is a sulphonylurea compound, it stimulates insulin secretion by the beta cells of pancreas, t...more

Lybrate-user, taking metformin while breast feeding the baby, produces no effects on baby's blood glucose level. A number of clinical studies have reported that metformin taken while breast feeding a baby does not affect the baby adversely at all. So you need not worry about it. Thanks for the question.

It is the combined effect of your habits and the medicines that play a major role in the control of blood sugar. Therefore always go for regular health check up and follow the advise of the doctor. The motto of treatment is to gain maximum benefit from the medicines (the doctor has to select the medicines based on your individual needs and current health condition) w...more

Could be side effects of the medications. For now you can take a 'l-lysine' containing syrup for boosting appetite, take a 'proton pump inhibitor' (for gas, acidity, bloating) in the morning, and do a liver function test (blood test for lft). Most importantly, talk to the doctor who treats your diabetes about this symptom.
