Musk melon and watermelon are high glycemic index fruits and should be avoided by diabetic pt. Because they increase blood sugar rapidly when ingested. For hypoglycemia consult your physician who will reduce some medicine or will do other modefication. Try to find out timing of hypoglycemia and tell to your doctor.

Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query.
I have seen the details given. Since there is no information on fasting, pp glucose, hba1c%, lipid profile, dietary pattern & extent of daily exercise, there is no way to give any suggestion. Whether you should continue metformin or not, depends on your fasting and pp sugar levels. Kindly get your sugar tested and share reports. If reports are normal, you might have to continue, as they are normal cause you are taking metformin. However if they are low, it can be stopped.
Metformin does not cause hair fall.
Check for other vitamin deficiency.
Eat healthy. Follow strict diabetic diet. Exercise regularly.

If only metformin is taken it should be after food. If sustained release tablet is there then od may ok. If not twice a day is better. Side effects are less if taken after food.
