Take plain glimepiride 1 mg before breakfast. Take metformin 500 mg twice daile, before breakfast & dinner. Repeat fbs & ppbs after 2 weeks. Take small quantities of food every 3-4 hours during day. Never starve. If you exercise, do so only after taking light food.

Musk melon and watermelon are high glycemic index fruits and should be avoided by diabetic pt. Because they increase blood sugar rapidly when ingested. For hypoglycemia consult your physician who will reduce some medicine or will do other modefication. Try to find out timing of hypoglycemia and tell to your doctor.

Sir you meet your Diabetologist / Consultant who is treating you and report your problem. You shall have to exclude any Neuropathy or Myopathy which is a complication of Diabetes. Please do not ignore.

Glynase usually works during the first few years & then starts failing. You should consider starting gliptins along with metformin.

I have seen the details given. Your blood glucose levels both fasting and PP are really quite good. There is no reason to reduce those any further. I am sure you have checked HbA1c%, that should be < 7%.
Only one aspect is that at 69 years with 165 cms height, your ideal body weight should be about 58.5% (65 X 0.9 = 58.5 kgs). Your present BMI(Body Mass Index) is 25.34 kgs/Sq meter(Normal < 23kgs/Sq meter up to 60 years.).
