Insulin dose decided on the basis of blood glucose level both fasting and after food. Plus there are different types of insulins, it is not which one you are using. There are rapid acting and long acting insulins plus combination of both.
It is given in units per dose, not as ml. Taking excess insulin is not advised. It causes hypoglycemia. Thanks.

Hello Mr. lybrate-user, Apart from taking medicines do proper exercises for your knees. Exercises like strenght training of your quadriceps especially VMO, stretching for hamstring, calf,TFl, proprioceptive training, apply ice 3 times a day if it is swelled too much, you can also apply hinged knee brace if you feel pain during walking in your knees. Hi you r a diabetic. Your injection site is not healthy. You need to follow a proper rotation technique for injection. Not at the same site always. The area you are referring need to be left for few days without injection. It will improve on its own. Take care.

Lybrate-userji, it appears you have t1 diabetes, (if the age is 14 years), in that case only drug that can be used to control blood glucose is insulin injection. No other drugs are given for t1 diabetes patients. You need to increase the dose of insulin injections both in the morning and night.
