Asked for male, 40 years old from Chennai

Urine culture report observed occasional pus cells many gram negative bacilli, occasional gram positive cocci in pairs and scattered seen. Organisms isolated is escherichia coli and the colony count cfu/ml identified as >1,00,000 is there an uti infection observed with this report. Do I need to take any antibiotic for this as report suggest that amikacin, gentamicin, nitrofurantoin, tetracycline, trimethoprim sulfamethoxazole are sensitive and amoxicillin/clavulanic acid, cefixime, cefotaxime, ciprofloxacin, norfloxacin are resistant. Does this have any clinical implications. Kindly suggest.

I'm 42 years old man, I have been battling with fungi skin disease for almost a year now, serious itching/irritation especially in a warm condition and when the weather is hot, that itching has peeled off my scrotum and anus skin area away. I'm equally having sore/wound above the anus area persistently. I have met with different dermatologists with different test like infection and diabetics but I was free, I have taken anti fungi drugs and creams like quadriclear, globatin and the likes that contains betamethasone dipropionate, gentamicin sulfate, clioquinol. But not yet resolved.

Dear sir, I am 31 years old n having tenia around my genital part and back on hips for 2 years back. I had treatment with allopathic for long time even changed the medication also like I tried terbinafine, itraconazole, fluconazole with lukofast, chloropheloranamine & cetirizine. Also antifungal soap and cream clotrimazole miconazole with gentamicin, clobetasol propionate, toflanate, neomycin borax, and ketoconazole but no relief properly. Sometimes it relieves sometime not sometime clears skin as no rashes but again starts as it is in broad spread. Like rashes. Red patches like swelled skin sometimes rings with pus around border. Please let me know about better treatment in allopath or homeopath which is more effective n permanent relief. thanks alot Ayurved.

You should contain the treatment for long time and maintain the hygiene which can dissolve it completely and you will not get again this is the only way you can solve it and which medicine you are taking you can continue it this is the good treatment plan thank you.

My baby is 1.4 years old, last 2 months he is suffering regular diarrhoea within 4-5 days interval after some recovery by medication (consulted with doctors) but no satisfactory improvement yet. Hi, I am 25 years old, single lady. I have been facing recurring episodes of Urinary tact infections, fungal infections. It repeats every 2-3 months. 6 months before I was sexually active with 4 different partners and I have had sex without using any protection many times. I have consulted many doctors, it helps me to cure for a particular time but repeats again. Now I am again facing the same issue. Main problem is frequent urination during the night and day time. Hi All, My Grand Mother expired due to infection on lungs. Before few days of it one eye becomes red and pus and blood came out from eye. Used anti biotic tablets and gentamycin eye drops along with multi vitamin tablets. Her eye infection reduced. From next day she becomes very weak and oxygen levels decreased to 36. We admitted her in hospital and provided oxygen and oxygen level increased to 95 to 107. Doctor first suggested for ventilation, as levels increased he said no need to put her in ventilation, we just provide the oxygen. After half an hour levels got reduced to 90 to 80 to 70 and doctor said we go for ventilation. But her pulse rate is decreased and ECG also flat and she is expired. Kindly let me know how the infection attach to body (lungs, blood) and is the infection on eyes causes to infection on lungs also or Infection on lungs causes to infection on eyes.

Gentamycin is pregnancy category d drug. It is only prescribed when benefits outweighs risk to foetus.in case of life threatening infection or some serious infection.

Hi, I am 26yrs, male. In January I was diagnosed with bilateral mild hydronephrosis with 4 mm stone in both kidneys, and cystitis. Used ayurvedic syrups, tablets and antibiotics. Took 4 dose of gentamicin injection for 2 days. During injection time suffered from severe head ache, vomit sensation, no urination for 1day. Then next day done ct scan kub which found to be normal. But after few days onwards I use to experience abnormal urination (sometimes frequent, sometimes less). Even though not eating spicy foods urine becoming acidic pH 6 after used citrate syrup pH came to 7. Getting leg cramps. For which using vitamin d supplement. At present symptoms: less urination pain from back to front of abdomen. Pain near bladder. Reports results: cue: specific gravity: 1.005 pH: 6 serum creatinine: 1.0 urine osmolarity: 85. Doubt's: I know serum creatinine 1.0mg is normal b.

Hello, I am facing irritation while urination. We have consulted two doctors so far, one told it is very serious issue and suggested inj. Mero (1gm), inj. Pantocid (40 mg), inj. Paracetamol (1000 mg), inj. Emeset (2 ml), tablet drolgan (80 & 100) for 2 times a day for a week. We got panic and went to another urologist specialist, he was cool, asked us not to panic, told not serious as of now and suggested urispas tablet for me and oflomac for myself and my wife for a week. By the end of that week the irritation was not there. Again after 2 days of stopping the tablet, again irritation is there when I urinate. Doctor has asked to take semen culture test now. I am really worried and panic about this situation, is it serious or nothing to be worried? Attaching blood test results: urine culture test - colony count - 80000 colonies/ml. Organism isolated - pseudomonas. Antibiotic susceptibility report: amikacin, meropenem, gentamicin, ofloxacin, piperacillin/tazobactam - sensitive.

Your symptoms are suggestive of complicated urinary tract infection. As per culture report, inj meropenem was good choice but it should be continued for longer duration followed by oral antibiotics for total of atleast 10 to 14 days. An ultrasound of kidney ureter and bladder and prostate is madatory. You should consult with a good physician or a nephrologist for proper evaluation of uti and optimal treatment. Take care.
