I would suggest you not to stop the medicines. Reduction of the dose can definitely be attempted, however let the doctor decide on it. Stopping meds altogether will cause both blood pressure and sugar to shoot up.

You can take homeopathic medicine Gymnema sylvestre Q, 10 drops twice a day in a cup of water for a month, and then report thereafter for further treatment. Besides this, constitutional medicine is to be prescribed for permanent cure, for which a detailed case record is to be done.
So for treatment in homeopathy, book an online appointment with us.

Get your c-peptide test done after 8 hour fasting. C-peptode is a amino acid complex released when a molecule of proinsilin breaks down to insulin hence it is an indirect measurement of insilin. Normalrange is 0.5-2 ng/ml of blood. If your c-peptide is less than normal means insulin is less and indicates type 1 diabetes, if more than more insulin is produced as in type 2 diabetes.

Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query.

But there is no mention of current glucose levels (fasting & pp, hba1c%, lipid profile, bp readings, dietary pattern & extent of daily exercise. Without all the necessary information there is no way to suggest any medication or give any advise. Please understand...more
