What you say is true. So use the drug only when you have symptoms. Or, alternatively, you can use only pro-kinetic drugs without proton pump inhibitors such as cisapride or mosapride or cintapride.

Hi lybrate-user, it seems that you may have anxiety and depression. In both of these condition patients complains of fatigues, pain over several regions. Also you may have somatoform pain disorder. In those cases usually the reports are normal. I think you can consult with neuropsychiatrist. Hope you will be improved. Do stretching exercises and yoga also. Thanks.

Hello
thanks for the query
the symptoms are suggestive of gastroesophageal reflux. The frequent reflux may lead to esophagitis.
Sometimes there may be associated gastric/esophageal ulcer. I suggest you to take some acid reducing agent (proton pump inhibitor like rabeprazole, lansoprazole) along with prokinetic like domperidone/cisapride to prevent reflux.
Avoid spicy and oily food, tea, coffee. Don't take too much water with food. Take food 3-4 hours before sleep. Elevate the hea...more

Mr. Lybrate-user, diffuse inflammatory gastritis, means the mucous lining of stomach is inflammed, (becomes more red) and irritates, can go on to develop some ulceration. This most often happens due to excess acid production in the stomach. It can be treated by using ppis (omeprazole, rabeprazole etc) plus bland diet.

3. Stop tea/coffee/tobacco/alcohol/spicy/oily food
4. Reduce milk but increase curd and paneer
5. Do not lie down immediately after meals
6. Increase salad/fruits/green ...more
