Dear lybrate-user,
for your height the correct weight would be about 57-60 kg. You stay on your current medications and change the diet as follows, monitor sugars and get back to us. I do find that the pp values are quite high and if they do not get better with the suggested modification you will need to seek a consultation
reduce the quantity of carbohydrate (rice, wheat, rava, maida) in each meal and increase the quantity of protein (dhal, egg white, fish or chicken)

Hba1 c of 10.5 indicates poor control of sugars. I need to know the duration of diabetes, current fasting and pp sugar values, serum creatinine.
Though online prescription of drugs is not permitted, I can advise you on the type of medicine that would be of use to you.

Hello Mr. Lybrate-user with diabetes you are not supposed to take direct sugar or sweets as that will cause almost immediate increase in blood glucose level. All the food stuffs that we consume like whole grain /pulses products rice, roti, chapati, roti, potato, sweet potato and many other cereals, everything is converted to glucose only as complex starch present in all of these. But sugar taken directly gets converted to glucose almost immediately, hence to be avoided. You probably need to work...more

Could be side effects of the medications. For now you can take a 'l-lysine' containing syrup for boosting appetite, take a 'proton pump inhibitor' (for gas, acidity, bloating) in the morning, and do a liver function test (blood test for lft). Most importantly, talk to the doctor who treats your diabetes about this symptom.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
High blood glucose levels mean current treatment is inadequate. There has to be up gradation in terms of increasing the insulin dosage or adding some of the newer molecule to get better glucose control. Plus we will also have to look at your dietary intake and extent of exercise being done daily. Plus looking at your weight and height it is clear that you have grade 1 obesity with a BMI of 30 44 kgs/M2. This itself is a major contributor for high blood...more

Hi sir, Thanks for your query.
Your question is wrong.
You are suffering from Type 2 Diabetes.
Medicine can be suggested only after we know the blood sugar levels, HbA1c & some other tests.
Thanks.

Do regular exercise and diet increase the dose of glysiphage to 1000 mg as your levels are very high and needs to be controlled.
