I am 63 years old man lives in india. I have some skin problem. The fore skin of my penis have some itching on one spot. That spot have thickened and itching. Upon consulting with my personal doctor, he has prescribed “fluconazole” 150 tablets 1 each for 3 days. I consumed as prescribed but not cured. After two weeks, I applied myself an ointment called “megasept-n (beclometasone dipropionate, neomycin sulphate & miconazole nitrate cream). I applied externally for one week but in vain. This time, it was better for a week but following week, again started itching on same area. Can you please prescribe me a good ointment which can apply on skin? Thanks for your help.

I am having jock itch since 1 yr. I tried various creams with clotrimazole, miconazole, beclometasone, clobestol propionate etc on advice of doctors but nothing is working. Till I apply this cream, itching is bit less but it comes back with greater intensity as soon as I stop applying even for 1 day. I want to get rid of it permanently. Hello I am suffering from tinea cruris and tinea faciei infections They are very chronic in nature and its past 2-3 years I had cruris infections Doctors have prescribed almost everything from fluconazole to itraconazole but its reappearing in a few days Is there a way to completely cure it I am also planning to get a skin scrap test and a sugar test done. Will it help Now the infections have covered a side of my cheek I am bow allergenic to chicken, eggs, prawns and brinjal I ve stopped eating them. You have tinea infection for which you used so many medicines, now go for investigation of skin scraping for fungus and blood sugar that will give a right line of treatment. Right now use miconazole oint. You consult after investigating. Good luck.

I have got problem of itching, thick patches (initially light pink and then itching and then becomes small circle of black skin and then again another circle starts itchy skin, its started spreading in my groin area joints. I initially applied one tube of Terbinafine hydrochloride, ofloxacin, ornidazole and Clobetasol propionate cream. Later it was little ok but I stopped it and found that the itching problem and patches started increased. Later I am applying miconazole Nitrate cream for fungal infection if any. But itching does not stop and after dry if I scratch the patches area has inflammation. Am I applying right medicine?

I'm having the problem of itching from the past 5 months. Have consulted 3 different skin specialists, each one diagnosed differently, treated differently but hardly any benefit. 1st one diagnosed it as dermatitis and treated with Fluconazole Methylprednisolone. Problem did not subside. 2nd one diagnosed it as a different kind of dermatitis and treated with Itraconazole. Problem did not subside. 3rd one diagnosed it as scabies and treated with different compounds. Problem did not subside. Various creams - Itraconazole, Clobetasol, Neomycin etc. Tried. Problem subsides but after some time recurs. Sweating causes the itching to spread all over body. Presently, main affected parts are Groin, lower back, belt line, below knees all along lower limb. Itching causes a lot of discomfort especially during nights.
