Seems you got ankle sprain. Ankle sprain has different grades depending on severity.
If the problem persists get it evaluated and investigated.
To relieve the pain apply ice packs twice or thrice on affected ankle.
Wrap a crepe bandage and rest.
Wear comfortable footwear with straps.
A suitable anti inflammatory can be taken.

Rest - give rest to your ankle Ice- apply ice pack after every 4 hours Compression- use crepe bandage Elevation- elevate your foot on some height like on pillow while sleeping or resting to avoid excess swelling.
