Frequency of urination will increase because of Forxiga. So that's not worrying. What might be of worry is the pain in lower foot. Thus can be nothing or can be indicative of something serious. Please take private consultation here on Lybrate from one of diabetes expert.

It is better to avoid artificial sweatners because they increase craving for sugar and reports published about them are not encouraging.
I think forxiga 10 alone will not be helpful in your case but will help if you add it to present medicines. Keep in mind cost factor also because you have to take it continuously for long time, though it will be helpful in weight reduction.

Thanks for the Query.

Your blood sugar needs to be controlled well as you have complications already.

For this either you increase the dose of Insulin gradually by 2 units each time or else you can try adding a Gliptin. Also Do let me know your Serum Creatinine.

For any further information or advice and prescription you can book an online consultation with me on Lybrate. Thank you.

Dear patient, galvusmet is only combo of vildagliptin and metformin. It is very great medication because it works indirectly on insulin producing cells by function called incretin effect. And also has effect on glucogon. But, we can tell it is all in one of your a1c is controlling with galvusmet. Obviously you need to take other medications also and some medications further addresses the comorbid conditions.

Dear Mr. lybrate-user,
I think you need to consult an expert in diabetes to get good control of your blood sugars. You may need a single dose of a long acting insulin and three doses of short acting iinsulin to optimize control. For you forkziga is not a good idea as it is a drug meant for overweight type 2 diabetics. I notice that you are actutally under-weight regards

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
Both the drugs have similar mode of action, however, if the particular physician has recommended a particular compound it is better to get is opinion before changing the prescription. Thanks.
