Hi Lybrate-user, There is difference of opinion in managing COPD. This is due to changing guidelines for managing the same.
However one thing that is definitely known is that in treating COPD we need to use a class of inhaled medicine called anticholinergics. This medicine is missing in the combination that you describe. Hence it is Not the recommended combination.
So you need to use inhaler with the recommended class of drug. There are many such recommended inhalers in market.

If your child is not having difficulty in breathing then you can just use nasal saline drops. This will resolve the congestion and swelling in the respiratory tract leading to decrease in respiratory sounds.
It is advisable to not increase the dosage of budesonide from twice to thrice.
If needed any other anti allergic medicines can be added or long acting medicines can be given which needs to be given only once.
Contact your pediatrician for better understanding.

Its better to have gap of some hours between inhaler doses as other wise there is more chances of its systemic absorption causing its levels higher in blood that can produce side effects such as tremors and low potassium levels etc.
