Prothiaden is a powerful antidepressant, but not that effective for anxiety. Etizola also has weak anxiety reducing properties. For panic and anxiety there are other wonderful medications. Consult any psychiatrist for the same.

Mild depression can be treated without medications by trying psychotherapy methods like cognitive behavioural therapy. Usually moderate and severe depressive symptoms require medications along with CBT. Good luck

Anxiety is not a neurological disorder, but a psychiatric disorder. Etizola is for short term control and does not act on the cause of anxiety, so consult a psychiatrist and seek proper remedy. All the best.

Opipramol usually needs 2-3 weeks of window period to act completely. You must see some improvement within that period. If you don't see any improvement after 4 weeks, visit your doctor.

Reduce by half every two weeks and stop. If you have relapse of anxiety consult a psychiatrist and take proper long term medications. Since you are a mbbs doctor learn about biological reasons for anxiety and address the same properly. Good luck.

Dear Samunder,
You can definitely try therapy for 5-6 months along with these medicines. Then, when you are able to deal with your negative automatic thoughts, you can challenge yourself by reducing and stopping these medicines.
