Mr. Lybrate-user,there is no permanent solution for asthma. You would have to inhalational medications esp. In winters when it exacerbates due to allergens in environment. Protect yourself from cold winds and avoid hot/spicy foods.

Steam inhalation is given if there is any congestion in the throat (larynx), nose and sometimes in the lungs due to infection or allergy. It only relieves congestion to some extent. It is not a treatment which may need antibiotics or antihistaminics.

Abpa is hypersensitivity reaction of airways to lungs. It is associated with asthma. For diagnosis you need to meet a chest specialist who will assess and see if you have apba or not. For diagnosis few blood tests to test allergy and ct chest are recommended.
