Folic acid is vitamin b9 and it is working together with other vitamin factors in various activities of our body --so mostly we are taking all these b-complex factors together in vitamin bc suppliments --- so there is no side effect in taking vitamin capsules with folic acid ----ok.

It has nothing to do with cyclicity of periods. Folic acid will prevent neural tube defect of the baby when you become pregnant. Vit.d helps bone mineralisation.
