It can be because of hormonal imbalance. Get your thyroid profile, cbc, fsh, prolactin, blood sugar fasting checked from some lab.If everything is normal then do an ultrasound of abdomen.Homeopathy is a very effective for this problem n has very encouraging results. Hello, please get her evaluated for PCOD, hypothyroidism or hyperprolactinemia which can be other common causes of delayed menses after pregnancy has been ruled out. The tests are expensive as they involve fsh, lh, chess, 17ohp, thyroid profile, serum testosterone, estradiol levels, serum prolactin, serum fasting insulin levels.

High prolactin levels inhibit secretion of fsh, which is the hormone that triggers ovulation. So, if your prolactin levels are high, your ovulation may be suppressed. This is why women who are breastfeeding (and thus have high levels of prolactin) usually don't become pregnant
