Hello, Thanks for the query.
From what you have mentioned it is clear that you are having diabetes. But there is no mention of either fasting or PP glucose levels as well as HbA1c%. Plus no information on which drugs you are on and their dosage. WIthout whihc there is no way to comment. Plus there is no information on weight, height, extent of daily exercise and dietary pattern. Thanks.

It could be because of unhealthy lifestyle. Eat a high-fiber diet. Get insoluble and soluble fiber. Limit foods that are high in fat. Choose lean meats. Incorporate probiotics into your diet. Eat on schedule. Stay hydrated.

Addiction to cough syrups are equally harmful as any other drug addiction. Talk to the patient when he is not under intoxication. Immediately take him to psychiatrist and start the detoxification and medicines for other mental health issues if any. After that start psychotherapy sessions with addiction therapist is must. During the psychotherapy he will learn the techniques to overcome craving and other skills to maintain recovery. Remember the help is just one call away.

General tips
Wash your face daily with a mild cleanser and lukewarm water.
Choose skin care products suited to your skin type — oily, dry, or combination.
Apply lotion after you shower or bathe to lock in moisture
such as when the weather cools, make sure you adjust your skin care routine. It may be necessary to switch products or shower routines during certain times of the year to avoid a dry face.
