Dear Sanjeev,
No medicine is safe for all the persons taking it. We have to weigh the benefit vs safety.
Having said that, the diazepam is not very safe in the long run. It is NOT an antidepressant tablet. It is prescribed to reduce your anxiety and make your muscles to relax. Whereas fluoxetine is better if it has beneficial effects on you. Please discuss with your doctor.

Firstly please relax, you are healthy, the more you worry, the more the palpitations develop. Can you please describe what exactly you mean by vertigo, what type of dizziness do you have, and are the palpitations always there, or it's for some particular moments of anxiety. Remember have this thought in your head that you are healthy. If you need to discuss the problem in detail please text me in private.

Dear Mr. lybrate-user, delayed ejaculation is often a side effect of ssri or selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors like fluoxetine (flunil) and sertraline (zosert). Change of medications will solve his problem. Do not stop the medications suddenly, it requires tapering down gradually and gradual changeover to other group. Consult psychiatrist for this process.

Can try hiking up ssris, fluoxetine upto 80 mg and if these are episodic behaviors, then .maintenance ect can be tried. But with caution. But ect I would not have recommended if another antipsychotic was open as an option. Consult a psychiatrist for nearby for discussing best options. This decision is better taken after detailed assessment of impulsive behavior and trying out some behavioral methods would be possible only if patient is available for assessment.

Hello
you may be aware that ocd can be a chronic condition which can be more prominent during stressful periods. Ocd can be effectively managed by a combination of medication and psychological therapy like cbt. You have been on prodep (fluoxetine) for few years with certain degree of benefit. Have you ever had cbt? Cognitive behavioural therapy (cbt) will be beneficial to control ocd symptoms. Kindly check with your doctor about availability of cbt in your city.
