You need to check cervical length by TVS every 2-3 weeks. If the length is less than 2.5 cm, you need cerclage (stitch in the cervix) operation.

My wife has two chocolate cysts in her right ovary. Out gynec had suggested an injection- Lupride Depot 3.75 for three months to reduce the size of cysts so that ovarian wall/tissues are not damaged during surgery to avoid infertility. My wife's latest period date is 19-Aug -2016 (yesterday). Her previous period date was 01-Aug-2016 and we applied the injection on 05-Aug-2016 (i.e. Within five days of period date). Her latest period has come early this time. I asked our gynec to order the second injection of Lupride Depot 3.75 today, but she said this injection cannot be taken so early, it has to be taken on 05-Sept-2016 (i.e. Same date as last month). Now we are confused if this injections needs to be taken within five days of period date or exactly once in a month (same date every month)?

Every medicine has side effects for sure but they are much less harmful than the disease itself. Already you have poor control of symptoms for 10 long years. I think you should get full knowledge about ocd first. I suggest the website www. Nimhans. Ac. In, you can find a link for ocd clinic and material for general public. It is a very good information in h...more

Hello
I would suggest that you continue the medicines. It takes some time however after that you will be able to experience significant improvement. Also most likely your doctor will decrease and stop fee medicines in due course. As far as counselling is concerned, it's usually quite helpful. If you felt that you didn't benefit from it, you should share this thought with your doctor who would make changes to make it better for you. Finally I would advise you to complete the course of treatm...more

Hi lybrate-user
Just to update you that Proluton, Susten and Duphastone all are progesterone which are given to support pregnancy. In any case of untoward event or crisis these progesterone help in sustaining pregnancy. In most of clinical scenarios either susten or duphastone (daily dosages) is combined with Proluton depot (500 mg weekly basis ). I think you should clarify with your obstetrician which combination they are ok with. On top of that I would recommend you to stick to one physici...more
