If your bp is because of hereditary reasons, you might have to continue the medication for life long. But you can control your bp with help of proper diet, yoga and meditation.
Regarding the depression, do no take medication without consulting a doctor. Also contact a counsellor/psychogherapist who will help you to come out of your depression.

Hello
it is unfortunately true that ocd is one of the most difficult problem to treat for the doctor and to experience for the patient. Every medicine has side effects for sure but they are much less harmful than the disease itself. Already you have poor control of symptoms for 10 long years. I think you should get full knowledge about ocd first. I suggest the website www. Nimhans. Ac. In, you can find a link for ocd clinic and material for general public. It is a very good information in h...more

Hello
I would suggest that you continue the medicines. It takes some time however after that you will be able to experience significant improvement. Also most likely your doctor will decrease and stop fee medicines in due course. As far as counselling is concerned, it's usually quite helpful. If you felt that you didn't benefit from it, you should share this thought with your doctor who would make changes to make it better for you. Finally I would advise you to complete the course of treatm...more

Hello,
I can understand the problem you are facing. Schizophrenia have family loading. You have to understand what she is doing is because of the illness. She has no touch with the reality and once she will improve these symptoms will go away. Medications are not magic pills and it usually take some time to control symptoms. Being patient here for few days is the key. Fluanxol is a long acting injections. This injection will take care of her symptoms even when she don't take her medication. ...more

Need psychiatrist help. My wife aged 40 years is under constant psychiatrist treatment since 1999. She was initially treated with syp risperidone, then by ziprasidone. After about four to five years the disease relapsed and then managed with inj fluanxol depot + qutipin. Then again in 2012 the disease got aggravated and after about one year of suffering she was finally treated with tab asenapine 10 mg and tab nexito 10 mg and tab clo 0.5 mg. The medicine is continue since then and my wife is almost asymptomatic. I am now not available with my wife due to my defence background and my wife is at a totally new place gandhinagar. The treating doctor is at patna. The problem now I am facing is that tab asenapine sold by only company sun pharma is not available in the market. The treating doctor does not attend telephonic queries and my wife is not in a state to visit the psychiatrist for next four to five months. Is the medicine available in india with any other brand or can any one suggest any other substitute for the same.

I would suggest checking online for alternative brands before shifting her to another medicine - because she has been doing well on asenapine. Any change of medicine (not brand), is likely to cause some disturbance and hence should be your second option. Asenapt is the only brand I could find - do not order for alkepin - it is not asenapine.
If you are not able to find alternatives brand, I could help you further with alternative medicine.

Re: constant tension in joints (female, 25) I am writing this in the hopes that someone will be able to recommend treatments I can pursue or the type of professionals I should see. My problem is that I experience tension in my joints (most commonly shoulders and elbows, sometimes ankles and wrists) at almost all times of the day. The only times I feel relief are when I am doing something I enjoy which is very distracting or when receiving physical touch like a massage. I have been experiencing these feelings since 2015 (my last year of high school). I have had long periods of relief or no symptoms in the past, but for the last year it has been a problem almost every single day. I have been to an ot and a physio for treatment in the past, but neither has had significant effects. I was recently diagnosed with gout and have been taking process for over a month now, but the problem is still there. I also have hypermobility in my joints. My other daily medications are: glucophage, fluanxol, epitech, camcolit, indoblok (as needed) and stream (as needed). I do suspect that the tension is psychosomatic to some degree, because of the fact that I don't experience it when I am doing something fun. But the second I do start to feel it, I fixate on the feeling and it only gets worse (fixating and ruminating are common for me because of my anxiety). If you have any idea what treatments/avenues I should pursue, please advise me. I feel that my quality of life is being affected and am desperate to resolve this issue. Thank you for your time and help.

Gouty arthritis problem
since I am a physiotherapist I cannot suggest medicine but I suggest you to hotwater fermentations that would help you to get relieved from joint pains. I also suggest you to go for good ayurvedic body massage which would help you to get relieved from joint pain and also swimming activity is advisable. But food precautions, it is better to avoid tamarind in the food rather to add lime or mango.
