Finalo is used by adult men to treat male pattern baldness (androgenetic alopecia) in the middle of the scalp or at the crown. The active ingredient finasteride works by preventing the conversion of testosterone into dihydrotestosterone (DHT) in the body to slow hair loss.

If you are taking finasteride for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), it may take up to 6 months to see the full effect. The medicine will not cure BPH, but it does help reduce the size of the prostate and improve symptoms. When it is stopped, the prostate begins to grow again within a few months.

Firstly, find the pelvic floor muscles. You can achieve this by stopping mid-stream two or three times the next time y...more

Finasteride is not candy that can be taken just like that. First, you need a prescription. Second, it may not be necessary in your case. Consult online first, get your balding evaluated and then take any treatment.

Hi!
finasteride is the fda approved drug for androgenetic alopecia. If you are suffering from this, you can take this medicine as advised by your doctor. Always have a regular follow up with your local dermatologist for best results. He will assess the hair fall status and guide accordingly.

Hello-
reduction in ejaculatory volume is the only established causal relationship between finasteride and sexual dysfunction. Though finasteride causes significant reduction in all the semen parameters except sperm morphology, they did not fall below the threshold levels to interfere with fertility.
Fortunately, ayurveda has an answer to that.

Avoid scrubbing the injection sites for at least 4 hours. However, makeup may be applied immediately after, if desired. Starting on the evening of the treatment and for the next several days; wash your face gently with a mild cleanser once to twice daily. After several days, you may return to your regular skincare routine

Hello-
some studies reported that finasteride had side effects on sexual dysfunction, including ed, male infertility, ejaculatory dysfunction, and loss of libido, even penis shrinkage. It will not recover on its own. Its better to switch to ayurveda.

With the normal dose of 1mg per day finasteride does not help much in hair fall reduction in female. Please consult a good skin doctor to identify the cause of hair fall and give the most appropriate treatment.

Dear Lybrate user,
minoxidil solution and foam are used to help hair growth in the treatment of male pattern baldness. But the medicine has its side-effects as well. Burning, stinging, or redness at the application site may occur due to this medicine. In that case, stop using this medication and tell your doctor right away if you have any serious side effects, including unwanted facial/body hair, dizziness, fast/irregular heartbeat, fainting, chest pain, swelling of hands/feet, unusual weigh...more
