Yes as Lactitol is not secreted in breast milk so it may be safe, but why do not you go for natural things like regular & high fiber diet, increase consumption of liquids like juices lassi etc and regular exercise.

I am a 15 year old male, that has been having problems with excretion. I can not poop easily and many times, in order for me to poop I need to use the help of my hand to remove the feces. This is my fault since when I was a kid, I wouldn't go to the toilet on a regular basis. I would never poop in public even if needed, so I learned to bypass the urge. I could go 3 to 4 days without pooping. I believe I have developed hemorrhoids and I can feel different parts in my anus, not like when I was small and could poop normally. When I was small I would excrete feces that would be freakishly long and thick. I have been using my hand for 2 to 3 years. I do not always use it, but most of the times I do. I have for quite a few months, abnormal burps an I have to force myself to burp. Whenever I do though, they are very acidic. At times I get some acidic liquid up my throat as well. And if a lot of time (6h more) passes without me releasing any sort of gas, I have to release gas and at that point, it just releases via burping. Recently I have also lost the desire to eat in general. I feel full and I do not seem to be producing feces or I do not excrete them? I had eaten normally the previous days, and had not pooped, so I expected that I would poop a lot when I went to the toilet, but nearly nothing came out even though I used my hand, and it felt painful and weird compared to other times, it felt like the feces was stuck in between holes or spaces? I even used a pill, similar to an enema, but there was only liquid coming out afterwards. I also have difficulty in releasing gases via the anus. I do not exercise nearly at all, but I eat a lot of vegetables and fruits. Around each day I eat a large salad. I do not eat a lot of meat and nearly no fried food, but I eat a lot of legumes. I always put a lot of olive oil in my diet and I get I believe a decent amount of fibre yet my anus is always hard, like not lubricated by the fibres. Please help me cause I honestly do not know what to do.

you are honestly trying your best to cope up with the problem. You are doing almost everything correctly. try to add isopgul husk and lactitol based stool bulk formulas daily at bedtime. train yourself to sit in the toilet sit early in the morning every day at the same time for at least 21 days to make it a habit.hopefully it will regularise your bowel movements.

Need to cure it first. Need to relax the spincter and relieve constipation. Try stool softners like lactitol fibres and sit in tub of luke warm water for 20mins twice a day. It will take over a month to heal fully. But you shud see changes within 2 weeks. More serious fissures will need more medications. Please get a private consultation. To prevent fissures in future prevent having constipation. Include high amt of dietary fibres in your diet. Lead a stressfree lifestyle.

Hello lybrate-user, the main purpose of laxatives for treatment for anal fissure is to keep your stool soft and easy to pass. If you are already taking plenty of fibres, then osmotic laxatives like duphalac will helpful. If you are containing less fibre in diet then lactifibre will be more preferable. But remember, treatment of anal fissure depends upon two factors, avaidance of constipation by any means, and to avoid straining. Thank u.
