Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
No drug is recommended when TSh is below 10 mU/L. Similarly when TGL levels are below 500 mg, no treatment is required. Only proper exercise and diet control is enough. Thanks.

Hi, Well the drug you were on has worked and brought your TG level back to normal. So you are a young guy and I would suggest you stop the medicine for 3 months. Stick to some daily workout like a regular brisk walk, cut down on you fried, fatty foods and cut down on your red meat if at all you have any. Also get your Lipid profile done after 3 months and follow up. Take care.

Probably unwise to take medicines. Rosuvas is helpful in blockage patients after they fall sick. F is fenofibrate. It is required for people with triglycerides above 1200. Please post more information for further opinion.

When triglycerides are below one thousand, dietary treatment is better for health than fenofibrate treatment. Reduce items that are converted to triglycerides in liver, like sugar, alcohol, grains and other water soluble calories.

Alcohol sugar jaggery and starchy foods raise triglycerides. Eat a traditional, balanced diet, not the modern restricted diet. Try diet and exercise first, medicines later if needed. Please discuss on phone if you require specific instructions. Best wishes.

lybrate-user, Lipicure tablet is given in a person who has increased lipid level (cholesterol) particularly total cholesterol, LDL & Triglycerides. In a person with diabetes most often there dyslipidemia (increased lipids). Therefore such a tablet is given. Fenofibrate is more often used when triglycerides are increased. Thanks.

You have type 1 DM. I do not know your age and the duration of your diabetes. The s. creatinine of 0.06 mg is abnormally low. Is the report right? The s. creatinine of 1.3 is not necessarily high. One needs to take the age and body weight into consideration and then calculate the creatinine clearance. That gives a more accurate picture of the kidney function. Fenofibrate is unlikely to be the cause for the rising s. creatinine.
