If the fracture is well fixed then it should unite in about 3-6 months in your age. Cause of delayed union may be compound injury, or vascular injury. I advise to wait 2 more months if your fracture is well fixed. After that also xray don't show union signs, then second surgery may be required.

Radial requires skill and is less traumatic compared to femoral which too requires skill but it has been there for a lot more years, the side effects of femoral are 1) bleeding through a malor vessel, there fore the leg has to be kept at a higher level with head side low for at least 6 hours & post procedure care takes longer to heal though in both the vessels it is just a puncture caused by a thick needle to inject dye to reach the heart vessels.
