If you still have pain in the left leg where you had fracture it is better to walk using walking aid. However for safer reasons it is better to keep a tripod or tetrapod stick (stick with 3 legs or stick with four legs)
You definitely have to take rest only then fracture heals quickly otherwise the broken fracture segments gets prone for movements and obviously the healing would be prolonged.

At this age and a kind of good diet, healing should not be a problem provided reduction and fixation is ok. However as far as nutrients in diet are concerned some Ayurvedic medicine may also be added without harm, for speedy healing. Laxadi guggul, sudhasaptak (kapardika, shankh, prawal etc) are examples.

Broken femur is usually caused by a severe accident; vehicle accidents are one of the primary causes. Older adults can fracture their femur from a fall because their bones tend to be weaker. Depending on how close to the hip the break is, it may be called a hip fracture instead of a femur fracture. Let's have a detailed discussion to ensure proper treatment.
