Hi uric acid increase is due to a metabolic aberration in the body, where purine metabolism is affected due to lack of certain enzyme. This can not be permanently cured. Only control with drugs and diet control is possible, current medication being taken is the appropriate one. Occasionally some non steroidal anti- inflammatory pain killers are used to control pain. Thanks.

Dear lybrate-user Thanks for sharing your concern.
Uric acid is quite high. You should control it within limits. Take animal protien free diet and also reduce protein from other sources. Avoid spinach, green leafy saag.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
You will have to continue to take that medication. Plus avoid food containing high amount of purines like red meat, organ meat, certain fishes like scallop, herring, salmon, mushrooms, mussels, shell fish etc. There is no complete cure for this condition. Thanks.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
You will have to continue taking the prescribed medication. Uric acid level will slowly reduce. Simultaneously, stop taking foods having high purines like red meat, organ meat, certain sea food, sweetened aerated drinks like colas, alcohol. That should help. Thanks.
