My child is 1yr 9 months old, suffering from cough and fever from last 3 days. Not only this time very often he suffer for the same. This time Amoxycillin oral suspension I. P and terbutaline sulphate, Bromhexine Hydrochloride, Guaiphenesin Syrup started from yesterday. What more treatment is needed for him?

Most often it's viral infection. Fever usually settles down in 3 to 4 days. Cough takes 7 to 10 days. Continue same treatment. Small children get frequent infections because of low immunity.

I have asthma which rarely strikes. I was taking salbutamol as prescribed by my doctor and accidentally took too much. Now my heart beat is faster and I am feeling palpitations. Is this symptom due to the salbutamol or should I be worried. I couldn't contact my doctor so am posting a query here.

Excessive use of salbutamol can cause palpitation, which is a rescue medicine. Use it to minimum. Switch to LABA and ICS combination by inhalation for regular use.

I have asthma. For a week now, have wet cough, so self prescribed Viscodyne LS+, composition levosalbutamol, ambroxol hydrochloride and guaifenesin. I've been prescribed levosalbutamol inhaler and Budamate 400 respules for the asthma. Is it safe to take the expectorant?

Inhalers are must in the treatment of asthma. Do not stop them until suggested by a doctor. You can take expectorant along with inhalers.

Salbutamol will not cause any damage. It is better to use it than getting the attack of asthma which is injurious to the growing fetus. Your querry about ige is not clear.
