The triple screening measures the amounts of three substances in a pregnant woman's blood: alpha-fetoprotein (AFP), human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), and estriol (uE3). When a test for the hormone inhibin A is added, it's called a quad screening. This test can be done according to the doctor's desire. Take care.

It may take several weeks after miscarriage that your pregnancy test report appears negative. Though this phenomenon is not certain and it depends on patient to patient as there are several circumstances affecting this. In general, your hormones take time to return to their pre-pregnancy levels after a miscarriage. Hcg or human chorionic gonadotropin remains high for several weeks after a miscarriage, resulting into a positive pregnancy report.
